Michael Stark, the "father" of the new simplified technique of cesarean, will symbolize technical advances, while the participation of Pr Kerstin Uvnas-Moberg, as an expert in behavioural effects of oxytocin, will symbolize scientific advances. The need to think globally will be emphasized by the participation of Dr Mario Merialdi, coordinator for maternal and perinatal health at WHO.
